In 2021, Tudor School emerged as a leading online English language school, delivering over 2500 lessons monthly to a diverse global audience. Their partnership with Swift Learn to develop 'The Hub', an innovative LMS, marked a significant stride in ESL eLearning.
Challenges and Requirements
The project was complex, needing a platform that allowed easy interaction between teachers and students, accessible homework activities and lessons for students, and efficient management of students, teachers, and course content by administrators. User experience was a key focus, with the need for a platform simple enough for young, non-English speaking children​​.
Dashboard Functionality
Students:
The dashboard features top buttons for accessing course pages, online classrooms, and teacher profiles, along with an overview of course levels, progress, and a guide to the next activity​​.
Teachers:
The dashboard provides a streamlined view of students, access to gradebooks, lesson notes, a resource bank with lesson materials, and integrated forms for administrative tasks​​.
Administrators:
The dashboard includes tables for managing teachers and students, with functionalities for searching, reviewing, updating, and contacting users, as well as adding new users and accessing reports​​.
Course Page Features:
The course page manages learner activities and lessons, including grades and progress reports. It provides a simplified view for students of course units and progress, and for teachers, additional functionalities like lesson notes access, lesson completion markers, and communication triggers for student absences​​.
